Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing life support to those with special needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families.

Duties:

- Implement techniques and strategies based on individualized care plans

- Collect and record data on client progress and needs

- Assist in the development and implementation of intervention plans

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care

- Provide direct care, including assisting with daily living activities, homemaking, community outings, personal care, social mentorship

- Support patients in developing social, communication, and life skills in their homes and communities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Qualifications:

- Studies in psychology, special education, or related field preferred

- Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral or speical needs

- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis, psychology or educational principles and techniques

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others

-Strong ability to think on your feet and adapt to what a person is currently interested in or needs help with

I would love to tell you a bit about our current needs. We received weekly requests from new families. Every provider is carefully paired with families and clients to create a health long term theraputic relationship.

Wednesdays.

Denver location:

Trip to the gym, grocery store, homemaking with an elderly gentleman. (morning)

Mentorship regarding social cues and enhanced homemaking / organization / hoarding assistance with an older gentleman. (Wednesday afternoon)

Aurora:

Helping sanitize and clean a child's room. (Thursday morning)

Respite with a teenager who needs a lot of attention and good conversation. Does need someone who can help redirect and distract when he gets upset. Has hit providers in the past with out causing damage (Saturday nights, 5 hours).

Parker:

Spending time with a 19 year old who wants to explore his community. Offering him coaching on social skills and various learning opportunities that the community has to offer.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
